Our Food

Each day, you can expect to choose from a selection of hot dishes and salads, all of which were prepared from scratch. Our menu shifts with the seasons as local farmers deliver fresh, organic produce to our back door. However, you can always find some favourites such as the tofu-broccoli stir fry or avocado salad.


We offer a soup of the day that changes seasonally - from hearty legumes in the winter to light, cooling soups in the summer. Our soups are built from our own vegetable stock and are always vegan and gluten-free (except in the rare occasion of barley, which contains gluten).


Our sourdough bread is baked fresh each morning, using a starter that has been growing for over 30 years. We make organic spelt or rye flour loaves, baguettes, and raisin bread with no added oils or sweeteners. Enjoy a slice along with your meal or take home a whole loaf - but be sure to come earlier in the day as they often sell quickly!


The salad and hot food buffets feature over 40 dishes to build your plate. From warming & filling pastas, to bright & fresh salads, to nourishing dals, everyone will be able to find a familiar favourite on the buffet and you may even discover a new vegetable or flavour to be tried. In addition to the bread, our in-house bakery makes a wide variety of cakes, pies, cookies, cheesecake, and squares each morning. Every baking ingredient is organic and flavours change as different fruit comes into season. Most of our desserts are sweetened with organic maple syrup from Golden Maples farm in Lanark County - 180 litres of which are used each month!
