Assistant Cook

The Green Door Restaurant is looking to fill one of our assistant cook positions. We are looking for an individual with a passion for food and previous restaurant cooking experience as a line cook (minimum 1 year) - vegetarian and vegan cuisine is an asset.

The cook will be in charge of fulfilling prep for day's needs & managing the buffet.

Required Skills:

- Work independently but keep great communication flow with the team

- Able to follow recipes and taste full menu items made (vegan & vegetarian)

- Ability to multitask

-Knife Skills
-Previous kitchen experience, 1 year

Front of House Team Member

30-35 hours per week starting in January 2026. (Training shifts start on December 2nd onwards).

As a front of house employee you are the first and last   a customer interacts with. Our goal is to have our customers leave with a positive dining experience and we pride ourselves on having positive, friendly and attentive cashiers.

As a cashier / front of house employee, you will be responsible for:

  1. -Providing positive experience to patrons.

  2. -Conducting sales transactions by card and cash accurately.

  3. -Ensuring the dining area is clean, ready and safe for patrons.

  4. -Restocking all customer-facing items.

  5. -Being knowledgeable of our menu, ingredients and products we carry.

  6. -Having the ability to stay organized, calm, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  7. -Being a problem solver, self starter and team player.

  8. Customer service experience and having a Smart Serve certification are assets. Must be able to converse in French and English.
